NO REGRETS
Jan 10, 2022This year for Christmas my husband and I decided to try something different. We want our relationships with others to improve, not deteriorate. We had Christmas with our sons, and grandchildren, but not just them.... We invited both of our ex-spouses. They accepted and it was very welcoming. We also invited ex-wives from two sons and one is remarried so we invited her husband and their three children.
This was by far one of my favorite Christmases in many years. We ALL showed the children it is okay to be in the same place at the same time celebrating a holiday together.
We not only had our 8 grandkids, but gained 3 more in the process of loving the other three that showed up with their parents.
Instead of pursuing the bad emotions of past relationships, you can prove to yourself, and to them, that life is open to move forward.
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” (John 15:12)
